the weekend
The “weekend” is the grouping of the days Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This has always bothered me because, technically speaking, Sunday is not at the end of the week, but at the beginning.

Melancholy is such a confounding word to me. The dictionary defenition is “a deep, pensive, and long-lasting sadness.” To me, though, melancholy sounds like it should mean something along the lines of, say, happily content.
